What the record tells us
Tokyo, Kanagawa, Aichi, Chiba, Osaka, Saitama, Hiroshima, Hyogo, Fukuoka, Tochigi each have at least one active team recorded by ZERO in football, baseball, basketball, rugby and volleyball. The result describes ZERO's current team dataset, not every amateur or school team in Japan.
CONTEXT
What sits behind the number
Large urban regions appear often — but not exclusively
Saitama, Chiba, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Aichi, Osaka, Hyogo and Fukuoka contain major urban markets. They can support several venues, company teams and community clubs across different sports.
Tochigi and Hiroshima also meet the five-sport condition. Their presence is a reminder that company-sport history and long-established local clubs matter alongside population size.
Five sports can still produce very different local choices
The condition requires at least one team in each sport. A prefecture with several football or basketball clubs will have a different calendar and geographic spread from one with only one or two teams per sport.
The table separates the sports so the total does not hide those differences.
Place is a useful cross-sport entry point
A football supporter may not usually browse rugby or volleyball records. A city or prefecture page serves a different question: what else can I watch near the place I live or visit?
ZERO keeps this place-based route while its normal team and article recommendations stay within the same sport.
