Analytics and privacy
ZERO uses limited analytics to make sports articles and records easier to find and use. This page explains the services we use and the safeguards applied to Clarity.
Analytics services
Google Analytics 4
Records page views and named product events such as moving to an article, team or competition page.
Microsoft Clarity
Provides heatmaps and session playback so we can find links that are hard to use and sections readers miss.
Limits applied by ZERO
- Clarity receives denied analytics and advertising storage consent. ZERO does not set a custom user ID.
- Only product event names are mirrored to Clarity. Event details such as a team, search term or article are not copied.
- Team-search inputs are explicitly masked so their contents do not appear in session playback.
- Clarity does not start when the browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.
